Pre-Operative
Information
Our
doctors at Oral Facial Surgery Institute would like
you to have the best experience possible. In order to
make that happen please read over the pre-operative
instructions below.
Patients anticipating general anesthesia or IV sedation
should avoid dairy products at dinner on the evening
before surgery and should not eat or drink, not even
water, after midnight on the day of surgery, unless
your doctor gives you other direction. If you are on
medication, your doctor will develop a plan best for
you. Patients anticipating use of general anesthesia
or IV sedation cannot drive themselves home following
surgery and MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult.
