Michael B. Barbick, DMD, MD

Dr. Barbick received his undergraduate training from the University of Central Florida graduating with honors with a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. He then was accepted to the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he graduated with honors and received excellence in academic achievement by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Next, Dr. Barbick completed a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville while also obtaining his M.D. from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completing a general surgery internship at the University of Florida and its affiliated hospitals.

In addition, Dr. Barbick has published several scientific articles and presented his findings at national meetings. He has published a surgical technique for treating obstructive sleep apnea in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was recently awarded for his scientific work within the field of temporomandibular joint surgery at the national meeting of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Kansas City, Missouri. His most recent publication involves the microsurgical procedure of peripheral nerve repair for patients who have numbness or pain involving their lip, chin or tongue due to nerve injury.
